Two Reasons of Toner Cartridge Failure

Insufficient Toner in Toner Cartridge

If there is not enough toner in the toner cartridge, the optical printer will not work properly. At this time, the user needs to close the printer, then open the cover of the printer and take out the toner cartridge. The toner cartridge is composed of a shell and an inner chamber. The user needs to take out the inner chamber and then pour out the toner inside. Then, the user needs to add new toner to the inner chamber and install the inner chamber together with the shell. Finally, install the refilled toner cartridge into the printer. 

The Toner Cartridge Needs to be Reset

A chip is installed on the cartridge, and the chip will record the usage of the cartridge. After adding toner, if it is found that the printer still does not work properly, it means that the toner cartridge chip needs to be reset. 

First, the user needs to turn on the printer, and then open the cover of the portable printer. After that, the user needs to press the "clear" button on the printer, and the printer will enter the "mode switching" state. Then the user needs to press the "+" button on the printer, and the printer will enter the "reset" mode. Then the user needs to press the "OK" button, and finally press the "start" button on the printer. After the above steps, the toner cartridge chip can be reset.

After reset, if the printer still prompts the toner cartridge for error, it means that the toner in the original hp toner cartridge is insufficient. At this time, the user only needs to add toner to the cartridge. 

How to Clean the Toner Cartridge

Sometimes, the printer will not work properly because the toner cartridge is not cleaned. At this time, the user needs to take apart the toner cartridge for laser printer, and then remove the photosensitive drum. After removing the photosensitive drum, the user can see the wire mesh in the toner cartridge. After that, the user needs to remove the wire mesh from the toner cartridge and clean the toner on its surface. It should be noted that do not use any flammable detergent to clean the multifunctional printer, otherwise it may cause fire or electric shock. After cleaning the wire mesh, the user needs to reassemble the toner cartridge and install it in the printer, and then the printer can operate normally.

Sometimes, if the genuine toner cartridge is seriously aging, it must be replaced with new one. If users continue to use the aging cartridge, the printer may be damaged.
