Cartridges toner generally consists of a basic substrate made of aluminum and a photosensitive material coated on the substrate. In laser printers, more than 70% of imaging components are concentrated in toner cartridges. The print quality is actually determined to a large extent by the laser toner cartridge. The toner cartridge not only determines the quality of the print, but also determines the amount of money users need to spend in the process of use.
According to the different photosensitive materials, there are basically three types: OPC drum (organic photoconductive material), toner drum (Se selenium) and ceramic drum (a-si ceramic). From the point of view of life, OPC drums have a short lifespan, generally only about 3,000 pages, and of course the price is the cheapest. The life of the Se drum is about 9,000 pages, and the life of the a-si drum can reach 90,000 pages, so the price naturally rises by analogy.
The toner in the toner cartridge is the key to imaging during the printing process, so what makes these cartridge toner powders finally form a document on the page? First we need to understand what is called latent shadow. The toner cartridge is a cylinder coated with organic material on the surface. It is charged in advance, and when light is irradiated, the irradiated part will react with resistance. The data signal sent controls the emission of the laser, and the light scanning on the surface of the drum changes constantly, so that some places will be illuminated, the resistance will become smaller, and the electric charge will disappear. There are also places that are not exposed to light and still retain electric charges. In the end, a latent image composed of electric charges is formed on the surface of the drum.
The carbon powder in the toner cartridge is a kind of charged fine resin particles. The charge of the carbon powder is opposite to the charge on the drum surface. When the charged toner drum surface passes the inking roller, the charged part adsorbs the toner particles, so the latent image becomes a real image. And when the toner cartridge rotates during work, the printing system sends the printing paper. The print paper is charged with the same polarity as the surface of the toner cartridge but much stronger. Then the paper passes through the toner cartridge with toner. The toner on the surface of the toner cartridge is attracted to the print paper, and the image is formed on the surface of the paper. At this time, toner and printing paper are only combined by the attraction of electric charges. Before the printing paper is sent out of the printer, after high temperature heating, the toner is melted and solidified on the surface of the paper during the cooling process. After the toner is attached to the printing paper, the surface of the high quality toner cartridge continues to rotate and passes through a cleaner to remove all the remaining toner in order to enter the next printing cycle.
Laser printer toner cartridges can be divided into the following three categories according to the combination method, namely, one-piece toner cartridge, two-body toner cartridge and three-body toner cartridge.
The integrated toner cartridge includes a photoconductor drum (photosensitive drum), a magnetic drum (developing roller), and a toner cartridge. In principle, this kind of toner cartridge does not allow users to add toner cartridge refill powder. But as technology is updated, this type of toner cartridge can also add toner.
The two-body toner cartridge refers to the toner cartridge as two independent parts, one part is the photosensitive drum, the other part is the magnetic drum and the toner cartridge. After the user runs out of toner, he only needs to replace the magnetic drum and toner cartridge for HP 105a instead of the photosensitive drum.
The three-body toner cartridge means that the toner cartridge is composed of three independent parts, including the photosensitive drum, the magnetic drum, and the toner cartridge. After the user runs out of toner, he only needs to replace toner cartridges. Some manufacturers call it drum powder separation technology.
In fact, among these types of toner cartridges, the commonly used toner cartridges mainly include HP original toner cartridge, compatible cartridge toner and refilled toner cartridge.
