According to different working principles, copiers can be divided into four types, namely photochemical copier, bluetooth thermal copier, electrostatic copier and digital laser copier.
Photochemical Copier
Photochemical copying includes direct photocopying, blueprint copying, diazo copying, dye transferring and diffusion transferring. Direct photocopying is to use high contrast photo paper instead of photographic film to photograph the original. The size of the printed matter can be adjusted according to the demand.
The surface of the copy paper for blueprint copying is coated with iron salt, and the original is made of single sheet translucent material. By exposing the two together, you can leave an image on the copy paper.
The principle of diazo copying is similar to blueprint copy copying. The surface of the copy paper is coated with diazo compound, which can leave a dark image on the copy paper after exposure.
Dye transferring is a method that combines the front side of the original with the translucent negative film coated with photosensitive emulsion, then carries out exposure, and then transfers the image on the paper through liquid development.
The principle of diffusion transferring is similar to that of dye transferring. After exposure, the negative film can be pasted together with the copy paper coated with the film, and then the black image can be formed on the copy paper by liquid development.
Thermal Copier
A copier that uses thermal copying is a thermal copier. The surface of the copy paper for thermal copying is coated with thermal material. The copy paper is pasted together with the original, and then irradiated by infrared or other heat sources. The part with the image on the original will absorb the heat, and then the heat will be transferred to the surface of the copy paper, making the color of the thermal material darker, thus leaving an image on the copy paper. This method of copying is commonly used in fax machines.
Electrostatic Copier
Electrostatic copier is one of the most common copiers. It uses the principle of photoconductivity and electrostatic phenomenon to copy. Commonly used photoreceptors are selenium drum, zinc oxide paper and organic photoconductive tape.
The efficient electrostatic copier first uses high voltage corona discharge to charge the surface of the photosensitive body with static charge in the dark, and then exposes the original. The static charge of the exposed part will disappear, and the rest of the static charge remains, forming an invisible electrostatic image. Then the electrostatic image is developed into visible toner image with developer, and the toner image is transferred to duplicating paper. By heating, the toner can be melted and fixed on the duplicating paper to complete the copy. The image and text copied by this color copier can be preserved for a long time. In operation, the copier needs to consume compatible ink cartridge, original toner cartridge and other items.
Digital Laser Copier
Digital laser copier images by laser scanning and digital image processing technology. It is not only a copy device, but also can be used as an input or output device to connect with computers and other office equipment. With the development of information technology, digital technology will be more widely used. Automatic laser copier will become an important equipment to help people work with its high productivity, excellent image performance and diversified functions.
